ABOUT BOLD WARRIOR ROBOTICS
BOLD Warrior Robotics is fairly new team, founded in 2018, we are in our third year of competing. Our team is comprised of four main groups: build team, coding team, drive team, and marketing team. Build team works on the physical aspect of the robot and makes it function accordingly. The coding team does the brainwork for the robot itself; our coders tell the robot what to do. The drive team tests out both the code work and physical work before competition and they also control our robot at a competition. The marketing team works behind the scenes to help manage and promote our team. We are also guided by a great group of mentors that volunteer there time to be with us.
ABOUT FIRST ROBOTICS
Most robotics teams around the world compete under an organization called FIRST Robotics. FIRST Robotics helps bring together teams from all around the world to compete in a fun and friendly environment. All the information following refers to the First Robotics Competition (FRC) Level, which is the level our team competes at. FIRST Robotics holds many Regional Competitions annually in many different locations. Each year FIRST Robotics comes up with a challenge, and teams need to come up with a design and build a robot to complete the challenge. There are about 3,790 FIRST Robotics Teams and more than 94,750 students participating across the globe. This is the fastest growing student activity in the world. If you do well at a Regional Competition your team may have the chance to compete in a State or World Competition. The only other way to get to compete at a World Competition is by winning certain awards.
